What does it take to become a card-carrying member (seriously, there are cards) of the "special anglers club" at the Ministry Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff, WI? Easy. Bury a hook in yourself, a loved one, close friend, relative, or dog. According to the nurse in this video, during the peak fishing season in the area--which is loaded with lakes--the staff at the hospital remove 3 to 4 hooks from human or animal flesh daily. Every "victim" gets a numbered and dated card proving membership in the "People Catchers' Club," and if you choose to turn it over, they'll put your lure in their display case. They also give every member a custom bobber with the hospital's name on it. It's really all designed to take the sting out of going to the hospital with a hook in you. And it seems to be working. Have a great weekend.
