As you can see in this video from Brandon Danker of Buckventures' The Woodsmen TV, big bucks are hard at it in Kansas. Danker has been on stand for the past few weeks, and his report is consistent from what I've been hearing from other hunters there and across the Great Plains. Due to the lockdown, activity is very sporadic—going from little activity one day to full-blown, hot-and-heavy action the next. Danker's cameras caught a beautiful 160-class buck harassing a hot doe less than 24 hours after watching smaller bucks on the cruise. That's the nature of the rut in mid to late November and as Danker sums things up, hunters are just hoping to catch a buck in between does. "The rut is here in full swing," he said. "It's time to be in the woods."
