New Bow, Prime Ion, Buck-Scoring Contest, Scott Bestul

Feeling confident about your guesses on the first and second bucks? Good. Here’s hoping Buck No. 3 keeps you on that roll, as you play for the one of the best new bows of the 2015. I’m talking, of course, about the Prime Ion. With a 31-inch axle-to-axle length, 7-1/4-inch brace height, and 330 fps IBO, the Ion does a great job of blending pleasant shooting, accuracy, and speed.

Most of you know how this works. We are in the midst of posting field photos of four bucks, each killed by a Prime pro-staffer. Your job is to estimate the gross B&C score of each buck to the nearest 1/8 of an inch and keep track of your total. After we’ve posted the pic of the fourth buck, you’ll have one week to submit a final score that tallies your estimates of all four bucks. Remember, fractionals count, and if necessary, we’ll post a fifth buck as a tie-breaker.
So here’s Buck No. 3. What’s his gross B&C score?
