Everyone flocks to Alaska for salmon, trout, and halibut. As far as host Joe Cermele is concerned, that leaves the largely overlooked pike fishery in the interior wide open. Chasing northerns in “the last frontier” has been on his bucket list for a long time, but little did he know a chance encounter with a school of sheefish would help him double down on list check marks. Special thanks to the good people at Explore Fairbanks. Without their help, this epic adventure wouldn’t have been possible.
