_Georgina Dodge, associate vice provost for Ohio State’s Office of Minority Affairs, and her Doberman, Barnum, enjoyed their walks together until Barnum was seriously injured by a deer on the morning of Nov. 1.

“He came bouncing out of the trees and his intestines were hanging out of a hole in his side,” Dodge said. “It was amazing that he was still walking.”_
