Bald Eagle Number Soaring in Latest Count

According to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's latest estimates, there are now 9,789 breeding pairs of bald eagles in the lower 48, the highest number since World War II.

--Minnesota: 1,312 pairs
--Florida: 1,133 pairs
--Wisconsin: 1,065 pairs
