On a 14-day hunt with his wife and an American hunter, Canadian polar bear guide Bill Wolki tied a rope to shore and let his boat out into broken ice and water to catch a seal, presumably for bait. He planned to use the rope to pull himself. But when it suddenly snapped, he was in trouble. And when the ice flow broke away from shore, he was in big trouble.
