While hunting squirrels along the banks of the Loosahatchie River north of Memphis, Tennessee, 50-year-old Anthony Hawkes somehow managed to get himself stuck up to his waist in mud. And there he stayed, praying and waving at planes and helicopters for more than 24 hours until a passing fisherman spotted him. It took 11 firefighters to pull him out. Who knew squirrel hunting could be so dangerous?
