_[Randy] Stark—the state's conservation warden chief—recently authored a 27-page gun-deer season-ending report and a separate 16-page report to highlight the concerns and enforcement activity associated with deer baiting and feeding.
"No single issue in my 23 years of service has consumed as many pages of warden deer season narrative like baiting and feeding issues this year," Stark said. . . . He sees the past decade's baiting and feeding explosion as one of a number of trends with a potentially adverse impact on the future of hunting in Wisconsin._
It’s important to note that with his call for a “serious discussion about the prudence of continuing to allow baiting,” Stark is indicting the legal, as well as the illegal, feeding of deer.
