A bill to guarantee Kansans the right to hunt and fish has been introduced at the committee level in Topeka.
"It would basically be a constitutional amendment," said Rep. Candy Ruff, D-Leavenworth, the sponsor.
"It's modeled after some stuff the gun boys (NRA) have recommended. There's always fear of anti-hunting legislation. Since we're gaining such a reputation as an outdoors state, I think it's important."
