Fatal Snake Bite: Intoxicated Florida man is first killed by coral snake in over 40 years

Twenty-nine-year-old Inocencio Herandez-Hernandez--found dead last month in the woods near Bonita Springs, Florida—has become the first person to die from a coral snake bite since 1967, when the antivenin was developed. Though the poisonous bite is the official cause of death, there may have been other contributing factors, indicating that it may not be a good idea to attempt to beat dangerous snaked to death with your friends, and especially not if your blood alcohol level is .32 percent.
