Flying Carp: Dangerous fish could make prime zoo food

Non-native silver carp present a problem. Well-established in many Midwestern waters and freely exhibiting their strange habit of launching themselves into the air, more and more unsuspecting boaters are having to explain to emergency medical personnel that they were blindsided by a flying fish. Now, there may be at least a partial solution: The St. Louis Zoo needs about 60 tons of fish per year as feed. Why not carp? Click here for the story.
