Lice From Commercial Fish Farms Devastates Young Wild Salmon

Commercial fish farms save wild fish, right? Well, not according to latest study at the University of Alberta Centre for Mathematical Biology, which shows that sea lice from the farms kill as much as 95 per cent of wild young salmon that pass by them. The research indicates that operations must make significant changes to protect wild fish, preferably by moving their pens to separate, contained environments. Click here for the story.
