And there’s more, from the Review-Journal:

_Three Bureau of Land Management biologists were held at gunpoint by members of a Mexican drug cartel after stumbling upon a marijuana garden in a remote area of Northern Nevada on Tuesday. . . .

The biologists were not harmed but were shaken up from the experience, [BLM spokeswoman JoLynn] Worley said.

“They didn’t know if they were going to be shot or if they were going to be let go,” she said. . . .

Marijuana discoveries have been on the rise in the Sierra Nevada, officials believe.

“It’s something that’s going on everywhere,” Worley said._
