New Jersey Bear Hunt Still Up in the Air

After winning a well-publicized, knock-down, drag-out battle to reinstate the black bear season last year, New Jersey hunters probably figured the future of the state's bruin hunt was secure. But as this Star Ledger article points out, it's now October and hunters still don't know if there will be a season this year, as the new anti-bear-hunting governor Jon Corzine drags his feet in reauthorizing hunting rules and regs.
