_Jason Needham, 48, of Oakwood Place has a problem with [the] squirrels [h]is neighbor likes to feed . . . .
Matters, it seems, came to a head Thursday morning when the neighbor called police and said Needham was shooting at the squirrels with a BB pistol . . . . By morning's end, Needham was facing charges of disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.
Later, the Monmouth County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals filed its own charges . . . [accusing] Needham of animal cruelty for shooting at both pigeons and squirrels._
