I've posted all sorts of news stories here--from big catches to boating accidents to pet rescues. I've never posted all three in one story, until now: On Wednesday, 72-year-old Al Lotrecchiano pulled the biggest bass of his life from Carmel, New York's Lake Gilead. But elation turned to panic when the angler's cocker spaniel, Bucky, stepped on the gunwale and sent Lotrecchiano in the drink. A long way from shore, he says his life flashed before him. But meanwhile, Bucky swam to the bank, ran home barking, and alerted Lotrecchiano's wife, who called 911. The angler was rescued after about 45 minutes in the water. Check out the whole, incredible story here.
