New Yorkers Save Beached Shark

When a 6 foot shark washed up on Rockaway Beach in Queens this weekend, some characteristically undaunted New Yorkers pushed the beast back into the sea, potentially saving it's life. Swimmers were ordered out of the water for the afternoon, but some New Yorkers were undaunted by that, too: "It was like 'Jaws,'" 13-year-old Thomas Hourigan of Woodside told the Daily News. "I was a little scared, but I dove in anyway and I got yelled at." Read it here.
