With the help of a prosthesis, lower-leg amputee Tom Martell of Bismarck has been able to live a fairly normal life—except he hasn’t been able to stay out hunting as long as he used to. So he grabbed his wheelchair, went to work, and created an all terrain vehicle he hopes will help other disabled hunters.

“Speaking from experience – being a lower leg amputee – how I felt when I was out with this thing, I want other people to feel that. It gave me back something I had lost,” he told the KXMCTV Minot. He plans to convert 10 or 15 more wheelchairs and make them available for rent. Check out the story and photo gallery here.
