Pro-Gun Facts: Latest figures show gun sales up, accidents and crimes down

According to U.S. Treasury Deparment figures recently released by The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), retail sales of firearms and ammunition rose 2.6 percent in 2005 for a total volume of $2.1 billion. Meanwhile, figures from government and independent sources show that firearm crimes, suicides, and accidental fatalities, including accidents among youth, are all trending downward.
