But can the claims that it was shot in Idaho’s Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness be for real? Not according to Boone and Crockett Club official scorekeeper Mark Hatfield, who says the elk came from a fenced game farm in Canada—nor Quebec’s Laurentian Wildlife Estate manager and guide Tony Barber, who confirms the bull came from his private reserve.
