"Record" Elk Was High-Fence Bull

One glance at the picture of a would-be record elk that's been bouncing around the Internet confirms that the animal is unquestionably a whole lot of bull. But can the claims that it was shot in Idaho's Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness be for real? Not according to Boone and Crockett Club official scorekeeper Mark Hatfield, who says the elk came from a fenced game farm in Canada—nor Quebec's Laurentian Wildlife Estate manager and guide Tony Barber, who confirms the bull came from his private reserve.
