South Carolina Eyes Gator Season

A recent agreement between state agencies and an attack earlier this month in which a Lake Moultrie swimmer lost his arm will likely open the door to an alligator season in South Carolina. "Everybody understands we need to thin them out a bit," said a state senator who will be voting on the proposed gator hunting law, which is modeled after the one in Georgia, where hunters took 175 animals last year.
