The danger that game wardens face in protecting wildlife and the rights of legal sportsmen was tragically illustrated this weekend when 34-year-old Texas Parks and Wildlife officer Justin Hurst was killed in a shootout with suspected poacher James Garrett Freeman, who is now charged with capital murder. Hurst, who leaves behind a 4-month-old son, was “passionate about the outdoors and all of God’s creations,” according to wife, Amanda. Click here to read the story.
