These latest road-killed sheep are among 25 that have been struck and killed by vehicles this year on Montana's State Rte. 200, where they lap up salt-based deicer. What makes this incident especially unsettling, though, is that it appears that man driving the trailerless semi that slammed into the herd didn't even slow down. "He didn't seem too upset about the sheep, but he was upset about the damage done to his vehicle. It seemed to be a total lack of regard for Montana wildlife," state biologist Bruce Sterling told The Bismarck Tribune.
