Western Trout Are In Hot Water

If you're planning a trip to the West's most celebrated trout waters this summer, you may want to reschedule and give the overheated fish a break. Extremely low, warm water is already causing fish kills and closures, as parts of the Yellowstone are pushing the mercury to over 84 degrees, and Montana fisheries officials have restricted angling on the Jefferson, Big Hole, Bitterroot, Clark Fork, Smith, Sun and Thompson.
