This past Saturday, cruising 20 miles south of Martha's Vineyard on her very first deep-sea fishing expedition, 15-year-old Melissa Ciolek hauled in a new world-record. Fishing with her dad and Charter Capt. Terry Nugent, the teenager landed a 364-pound blue shark after a 40 minute fight. Though it still awaits official judgment, the giant catch blows away the IGFA's current 123-pound world-record blue shark for girls under 16. Said Ciolek, "It was a huge adrenaline rush."
