Giant Lake Trout
John Geiger, of Rockton, Illinois, caught this enormous lake trout on July 11, out of Tazin Lake, which is located in the northwest corner of Saskatchewan, Canada. The fish was 50 inches long with a 33 1/2-inch girth. Its estimated weight, 70 pounds, puts it just 2 pounds shy of the all-tackle record. It hit a silver-and-blue T-55 flatfish. Geiger's guide, Sean Coleman (owner of Tazin Lake Lodge) is shown here holding the fish. Keep on clicking to see more pics of huge lakers caught in Tazin Lake.Field & Stream Online Editors
