After a seemingly never-ending season of cold fronts, driveways buried in snow, sub-zero truck starts, and school closures, it’s time to get excited. Spring is here, and it’s one of the best times to get outside. Turkey seasons are opening. The trout, crappie, and bass fishing is heating up. Morel mushrooms are popping up in the woods. And spring break is a great time for a family camping trip.

If you’re like me, the first signs of warm weather signal the start of things like camping, fishing, and the opening day of turkey and bear season is just around the corner. To help you get excited and celebrate the start of one of the best times of the year, we’ve compiled a list of products that can help you hike farther, camp more comfortably, catch more fish, and just make all your outdoor experiences even better. Take a look and get something you deserve, but act quickly—some promotions are available for a limited time.

Camping Gear for Spring

Coleman 6-person Cabin Tent with Instant Setup

This Coleman tent is loaded with features, easy to set up, and can comfortably host up to six adults. Price: $130 Coleman

Spending time with your family on a camping trip can be one of the most enjoyable and memorable experiences, especially for young campers. But sometimes there’s a catch, and time spent apart can be as good of a thing as time spent together. That’s one reason so many people like tents with dividers. With the simple pull of a zipper, you can turn one giant shelter into one with two or more spacious rooms, so everyone can enjoy their quiet and privacy when they need a personal timeout. It’s also a great way to make kids feel like they’re in a tent of their own, even though they can hear Dad snoring on the other side of the thin wall. Coleman took the “feels like home” concept even further and added a hinged front door and attached the entire shelter to poles so it opens and expands like an umbrella.

Survival Spark Emergency Fire Starter

Even in the wettest weather, an emergency fire starter like the one from Survival Spark can be the most important item in your survival kit. Price: $10 Survival Spark

VSSL Compact Adventure Tool

The VSSL Camp Supply Tool includes a candle, antiseptic wipes, water purification kit, a Firestarter, 10 weatherproof matches, fishing kit, wire saw, mini sewing kit, and several other items. Price: $130 VSSL

I’m always impressed when someone is able to reinvent the wheel when it comes to how an outdoor product is organized, arranged, and packaged. So, when I saw the “canned” approach to things like first-aid kits and emergency camping gear, I was intrigued. Each kit is a solid metal cylinder with different supplies like matches, bandages, and fishing gear stuffed inside. What’s more, the cylinder itself is an LED flashlight with three different settings, including one for S.O.S. I keep one kit in my truck, and two others stashed in my kayak and boat. There are prearranged sets available, or you can build your own by selecting only the contents you want. It’s a great gift idea for birthdays or Father’s Day.

The LOWA Z-8S GTX boots have all the support and durability of a high-end boot, for a fraction of the cost. Price: $230 LOWA Boots

LOWA’s Z-8S GTX boots are my new favorite boots. Not only are they amazingly light and well-made, the height and lacing system make it easy to get solid ankle support, and because the main material is suede (with Gore-Tex), I don’t have to apply oils and lotions like I do my leather boots. I can spritz on a waterproof treatment and let it soak into the material. No fuss, no muss.
