I'm looking for a new flippin and pitchin reel. I've looked at the Quantum Energy PT and the Catalyst. Are these good? Does anyone else have any other suggestions? Thanks.

Not sure what your budget is but look into the Quantum Accurist reel... Cabelas carries it, retails for $99.99. But it has a specialized flippin switch on the reel itself.
If I were you I would go for a Flueger, they are a nice, dependable, and effective brand. They come in all price ranges and they really do work. But if you have a good bit of money in your wallet and want to try something new, I would try fly fishing. I have had great results since I started. If you are wanting a good fly fishing brand, I would try, TFU.
Quantum makes a nice reel. I would go online to cabelas and check out all they have to offer. The cabelas lineup of reels is a nice set and its less expensive. I believe their reels are quantums or diawas branded as cabelas. Good deal if you shoppin durring the off season.
