I think by far cabelas they have so much for of a range of products for you to choose from. If you can compare products and get a better price with bass pro shops go with them no sence sending more money for the same thing.
I have the good fortune of living near a Bass Pro so I don't use their site much. I order from Cabelas and they are OK. I order most of my hunting and shooting godies from MidwayUSA.com. Their site is the easiest to navigate, they ship same day and are such nice people, I just wish I could afford to buy more there.
I live 10 mins. from Bass Pro so they get most of the money I don't spend at the local gun shop. The local store is a little more exspencive but I like supporting the little guy.
Shopping online = Cabelas
Browsing in the store = Bass Pro Shops
Cabelas has better selection, but the fish tanks and the mounts at the bass pro shops makes me feel like a kid again. i just leave my wallet in the car so that I don't buy anything.
Cabela's hosed me here in Washington. Now that they have a retail store here, they charge 9% sales tax on top of their outrageous shipping charges. I usually stop into the store going thru Boise or Salt Lake on the way to Colorado or buy from my local store. I'm not paying shipping AND sales tax.
Wonko made a great point--if you can, support the little guy. I don't mind paying a little more at a local store to support the small buisiness. Of course, Bass Pro, Gander & Cabelas still get a lot of my money.
On top of great sale prices I got 5 dollar shipping. You just have to use basic shipping and spend over $150. How can you not with them? It's like being a kid in a candy store.
Cabelas does have a larger variety but I mainly like bass pro because its cheaper and more local for me. Expecioly for the arrows now at bass pro... only about $20!!

Cabela's for hunting gear. Bass Pro's Redhead line of clothing and stuff really sucks, poor quality and fits poorly IMO.
I don't buy fishing tackle online, but Bass Pro is probably OK there.
Cabela's is were I get everything! I absolutely love this store.
Cow-Bellows for me...
Cabela's, if they ain't got it ... I probably don't need it!
Cabela's is so far out in front that there ain't even a second place. If they don't have it, they'll put me in touch with somebody who does.

It looks like it's unanimous. I kinda like Gander Mountain, but I go to the store. I agree that Cabelas has the best catalog.
cabelas online is excellent and now that they've built a new here in town (billings) i don't even have to pay freight.
Cabelas is by far the best. 2poppa said it all If Cabelas don't have it you probley don't need it!

I browse both on-line, but I buy at the stores. Bass Pro is only 15 min away. Cableas is less than an hour up IH35. God Bless Texas
Tackle Warehouse for bass fishing, Bass Pro for everything else. But I don't hunt so that may make a difference.
