The world record is a 34.5"long,20lb trout caught in 1915 by a Dr.JW Cook.
In the last few years a 29"long,16lb specimen was caught by a Mr.Tim Matheson in northern Manitoba.
Personally my largest Brookie is a 20" 4.5lber I caught on the Restigouche River, NB some 10 years ago.On that same day a good friend who was fishing with me, hooked and landed a 28" 9lb Brookie.

I thought it was somewhere around 20 lbs in the Labrodor river in Manitobia. Cook caught the beauty on a sculpin.
