Q:
When Bill Clinton was President, I truly believe the Democratic Party has allowed a certain level of preventable death and destruction. But to today with the Obama Democrats it’s no longer a certain level, it’s anything goes! What say you?

I'd say anything is a huge improvement over bush.
Obama is taking a lot more flak than he deserves. He is doing as good of a job as he can in his position.
I'm sorry to say it will proably only get WORSE !
I disagree as a service member over the bush comment.
Not doin a better job... 10.2% unemployment, hundreds of trillions of dollars national indebtedness, appointing known anti's in key positions in gov't (Sunstein, Sotomayor, that Atty General, and the head of OSHA), forced unwanted health care bill that will fine/jail people for not having coverage. Attackin anyone who opposes the democratic congress and his will by saying they are right wing extremeist and are all put up to it by the GOP.
I do agree Bush was wrong in some things but not this wrong. Iraq, not capping fuel prices when he had the chance, not protecting the borders better.
It's amazing how quickly everyone blames him yet backed him 100% even the Democratic congress when he sent Soldiers to war after the 9-11 attacks
You go on thinkin that we'll see his true nature and that of the democratic congress whaen they really get their way.
Bill Clinton: Let's see here: Came close to impeachment for his actions, Disgraced the Armed forces by not oblitterating Somalia after that mess.
He did did keep Saddam in check by enforcing the No Fly Zone set up by Bush Sr. He did sign one of the highest pay raises we ever saw but only after he pardened embezzlers and other criminals with ties to important people.
You can give me a negative all you want ... just watch the news and see the truth... pick up a newspaper and read some of the policies that Obama and these Dems want to put in place.

Crowley goes on to cite the Obama administration's "Orwellian coldness and efficiency" in "waging waged war on those who have had the gall to disagree with it." That includes:
-- The war on Fox News.
-- The war on tea partiers and town-hall attendees.
-- The war on those who oppose government takeovers.
"Speaking of the average citizen ..." Crowley notes, the administration "also flagged veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, and those who vigorously support the Second Amendment. In other words, if you go to church, legally own a gun, or served in the military, this administration considers you a potential enemy of the state."

And sadly, in addition to a compliant, adoring general media, the Obama administration has plenty of other spokesmen, such as Rob Waters of the Southern Poverty Law Center, who issued this hysterical communique to his comrades on Oct. 26:
-- Right-Wing Extremist Group on Active Military Duty?

Theres proof in the puddin so to speak...
I am with 86 Ram all they way, 2 of you need to wake up and smell the coffee.
Don't call me out for stating my opinion. I think that the second george bush screwed up a lot of things that the previous three presidents worked hard to achieve and put us in the worse possible positions. I associate myself with no political party and simply vote for who I think is the best canadite. That being said I also don't think you can really judge a president untill he atleast serves two years and we really know what page he is on and can see the effects.
As a service member who served under 2 of those you mentioned jsobrien. As well as those on the USS Cole, U.S. Emb. and bases that were attacked when "Slick Willie" was in charge. WILL "call you out".
NO OTHER PRESIDENT IN HISTORY HAS EVER ! "bowed" to a foreign leader EVER !
Enough said ?
I'm not much for commenting on politics, but when George Bush left office, he left a huge mess to clean up. Any new president would be overwhelmed, regardless of who was voted in, and we have no one to blame but ourselves for letting it get to that point. Hardly anything is American made anymore, we don't buy local goods, it took gas prices to be $4/gallon before car companies started mass producing efficient vehicles. We were HOGS...and now we've moved out of the barn and into the barnyard where we're wallowing in our on crap and NOBODY likes it. Y'all better get used to it, because it's going to take a while before the barn doors open again.
Didn't call anyone out I just stated my opinion on the subject.
All 3 of them had faults and I stated current facts on the current administration.
I can judge the actions of the man as much as people judge Hunters for being Hunters, Dodge vs Ford Vs Chevy etc etc
I agree no other president of the most powerful nation in the world has ever bowed down to anyone especially ones with known anti american sentiment.
i just want to say i respect all of you and your opions but as a democrat i am ashammed of what my party has came to in the past 10 years . aslo i am glad i voted for john mcain he has my respect as a vetern an pow and do belive he would not delay and set on his back side in sending the troops to afganistian as request by the region commander i belive he would make the hard call to give them the support they need or pull them out its been 1 month now and still no action one way or the other from obama and as for the blame game who did what and made things worse it dosnt matter its time to fix this mess our country is in as for one . its time to push to end our problems over seas to a out come we can live with by any means nessary and bring our men and wemon home god bless the our troops and the military familys the have left here at home .
and for all those who think our country is doomed this is still the greates country in the world even if we are beaten down rite now we will rise again and stand strong together i may not belive as many of you do but blood has been spilled to give us the rite to have differnt opions .so dont forget that before you say things to those of a differnt party to anger them on perpose we are all after all on the same side .thats enough of this back to hunting best of luck everyone this season
The problem lies in multiple factors The Deomcatic Congress / Obama has forgotten they work for the people by the people and should be listening to the people not forcing their agendas/will on the people and taking away the peoples rights.
The other is as mentioned earlier hardly anything is made in this country anymore thanks to corporate greed and worker (unions) wanting more for less in alot of cases.Higher pay requests and safety requirements caused outsourcing along with Bill Clintons NAFTA bs.
All of the mismanagment by Wall Street / financial institutions of money.
Unfair / uneven trade tarrifs and agreements.
Import / Export imbalalnce. We import more than we export.
The list goes on to include piss poor oversight of the issues by anyone.
I like to get the different perspectives on the issues it is hard to find non-radical unbiased reviews of many large aspects with out the mainstream media severely mudding the water up with there own political conflicts of interest. Bush had a lot of these conglomerates on his side as he gave huge tax breaks to the big business made them billions on a war with imbedded reporters and government contracts to build sometimes inferior product. some critics say that his approval rating stayed where it was (and not near the impeachment level) because he essentially was using american dollars to keep it there. So now Obama under the microscope has to try and clean a mess of bad spending with a country of people who don't want to be hurt by there elected officials... im not saying i agree with all of his methods but give him credit for the situation he was put into... look less micro- and more macro-. as my economics teacher says.
86 i wasnt refering to you i have no problem with what you said i just dont like being told to wake up for an opinion.
JSObrien,
I appoligize, but I felt btyhere was more to say and I just wanted to state that I wasn't calling anyone out. I respect your opinion and everyone elses. I just disagree with this current administrations policies and agendas as well as the stacked house. The Gov't is supposed to be balanced to ensure that one party does not have it's way with everything it supports. Hence the partries (Republicans, Dems, and Independants.
BTW the health care reform approval votes took place last night and it passed...
NOT HAPPY at all on my part.
Sounds to me like we elect a new administration every 4-8 years just so we have somebody to blame for everything we don't like.
As for Fox news, I tune in occasionally for a laugh. Those guys are real hams. Genuine news organizations are boring, since nothing newsworthy has actually happened since the Apollo program.
Clay, the world has been going to hell since Adam blamed the serpent. There was one guy who sacrificed everything to save the world, but people would rather argue over which guy it was than accept the salvation.
As a member of the Retired Military ( 27 years ) 3 Conflicts, I have to say I have had REAL respect for 3 Presidents (Truman, Eisenhower&Reagan) and 1 Candidate (Goldwater) All the rest in my lifetime were Corrupt sorry and any other term you wish to opine.
After Last Friday and his pitiful response you can probably figure out the VERY WORST!
I agree his is doing a little better job cleaning up bush's mess but i stil don't like him.
Every 4-8 years we either confirm or deny our problems. The problems start with previous administrations. For our current problems the economy, foreign affairs, health care and our energy issues. You can go back to Ford,Carter,Reagan,Bush,Clinton and Bush.We could point fingers all day in the end nothing gets done.I have more than one vote,it's not based on sound bite or photo op,it goes to the one who is MOST capable of doing the job. Most times I wouldn't like them. There all parasites, some bigger than others, all feeding to survive at that level of comfort they wish to enjoy before the end of there term. Some go on to work most don't.
