Im thinking of buying a "hoochie mama" cow call for an elk hunt in november in Idaho. I have already got a few opinions about it what does everyone else think?

I believe the "hoochie" is a good call. Had one! but I didn't care for it's bulkiness( another thing hanging from my neck ). My hunting involves a lot of covering ground and I try to stay streamlined. I have used mouth diaphragm since. They've been very effective, fit in the pocket well. Primos makes a number mouth diaphragms, single reeds being being the easiest to learn and use. Good luck on your hunt!
They work good, I use one. November will be late in the year for elk to be responsive to calls. I would use one then, as now, as a way to maybe get the elk to stop for a moment to provide a shot if you jump them in cover. I keep one in my left pocket or hand to quickly use for such occassions.

I would say the diaphram calls are the best followed by the cow girl then followed by the Hoochie.
I had a Hoochie Momma in Korea but thatis another story!
the hoochie momma and the baby hoochie all they need now is the pimp daddy
