I am going to buy a new duck call this year. I'm getting ready to up grade, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me the difference between a polycarbonate call and an acrylic call.

But acrylic plastic is a polycarbonate. Neither is worth spit. Go to http://duckcallsgoosecalls.com/ to see maximum quality calls. They are for people who want the best. But if you're not into conspicuous consumption, get a wood call anywhere you can.. the bigger and hollower, the better. Forget about maximum loudness. It's quiet where you hunt. My calls are not as loud as plastic ones, but I have turned ducks at great distances...barely in sight.

The main difference between polycarb and acrylic is; acrylic is a much more dense material which equates to a sharper and more crisp tone quality.
acrylics are more expensive
primos has never failed
