Q:
Hey yall I just got back from my Alligator hunt down in Newmans Lake, Florida. Wounded Warriors in Action flew myself and two other wounded warriors to Florida to hunt these amazing animals. After almost completly circling the lake I took a shot at a 6 foot gator but it bounced off its head. It stunned it for a few minutes because it kept coming back to the surface. I took 3 more shots at it but just could not hit it. I was using an old fred bead compound bow with out any sights which is not something I am use to. But on the 5th shot I got it through the leg and finished it off next to the boat with a bang stick. I got the photo posted on my profile check it out and tell me what you think.

Congrats on your first gator. That's a perfect size meat gator.

Congrats! Reminds me - I saw an incredible full croc mount at a local taxidermist. Croc was mounted almost vertically, tail up, so took up very little room. A toothy tiger fish was being mounted in its jaws. Thinking a Florida bass mounted in your gator's jaws would look impressive (or perhaps a python).
