Q:
I am new to the archery game. I am seeking advice as to an economical target that I can make for shooting broadheads. I have been using a feed sack stuffed with feed sacks for my field points with good results. Thanks for any info.

Cabelas has the multilayered targets on sale. They are good for broadheads.

You can continue with the feed sacks, which is a very good idea, but you can place clothes in them while using multiple feed sacks.

feed sacks stuffed with clothes are great and cheap for field tips but broadheads get caught up in the clothes. A small layered Cabelas target goes for about $40.

I would suggest purchasing one of the multilayered targets also.

I stuff Coffeebean sacks (very heavy burlap) with platic wrapping material. Works great and lasts almost forever with field points. Use the Rage 2 blade broadheads. They come with a practice head in each pack you can shoot into the bag.
