I usally wear just my left glove and the right hand (not sure what the are called) LOL I put it into that thing that you strap in front of you(like a pouch) and have a few heat packs. That way if you need to shoot your bow or gun quickly all you have to do is pull your hand out. Plus it will be warm so you feel your fingers.

I typically use rag-wool gloves. They provide warmth but do not have the "puffiness" that causes you grief when trying to use your fingers. I also would suggest a hand-warmer belt that has a tubelike fleece pocket that wraps around your waist. It keeps the tips of your fingers warm and you can also put handwarmers in them.
