most likely they are coming out of there if there isn't a lot of pressure from hunters or predators. look at the entire boundry of the fields and see if there are tracks going to another area. they won't stay in there permantly so scouting will be your best bet. good luck.

With a light wind (to cover sound) and snow on the ground (for added visibility)- I love a slow standing corn field stalk. Pop your head into the row before you walk into it and look both directions- most of the time you will have plenty of time to shoot as they tend to just sit there. Be sure to work the wind in your favor. Take your time and go as quietly as you can. If you have a light breeze, those deer won't ever hear you coming.

BOTH ABOVE ARE EXCELLENT IDEAS. I WOULD ALSO TRY PUSHING THE FIELD BY WALKING A ZIG-ZAG PATTERN FROM ONE END TO THE OTHER.

YOU CAN ALSO BOTH WALK THE FIELD THIS WAY ONE STARTS TO WALK 1ST THEN AFTER ABOUT 10-15 MINUTES THE OTHER STARTS TO WALK. WHEN DOING THIS TRY TO WALK SLOWLY AND AS QUIET AS POSSIBLE AND YOU ALSO WANT TO MAKE SURE YOU BOTH DON'T END UP GETTING TO CLOSE TOGETHER. THE IDEA IS THAT THE 1ST HUNTER MAY GET A CHANCE AT THE DEER AS HE WALKS AND THE 2ND MAY VERY WELL BE ABLE TO GET A SHOT AT DEER THAT ARE TRYING TO DOUBLE BACK TO GET AWAY FROM HUNTER 1. I KNOW YOU SAID IT'S JUST YOU AND DAD BUT IF YOU GET A 3RD PERSON THEN POST THE 3RD PERSON ON THE END OF THE FIELD YOUR PUSHING TOWARD AND THE OTHER 2 WALK.

I SOMETIMES HUNT ALONE AND THEN MY ONLY OPTION I9S TO SLOW WALK IF DEER AREN'T MOVING ON THEIR OWN.

GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY HUNTING

I would walk the perimeter to find where the best trails enter the field and hunt there. The wind will rattle the stalks and cover your sound if you stalk in the field. IMO a stiff breeze is better than a light breeze.

Stalk the downwind side, very slowly, looking down(up into the wind) the rows. Or have one guy post downwind as another walks the upwind edge, trying to nudge deer out with both his movement and scent.

move in the corn perpendicular to the rows, the rows going from left to right from your perspective, and then look up and down the row move on and do the same thing throught the corn field. its slow but it just might get you that wall mounter your after.
