No, my beagle days are pretty much over. Finding rabbits on a regular basis around our area is similiar to finding an honest politician in DC. Too many house cats, foxes, coyotes, and red tailed hawks.
Shot a couple so far. A fresh snow is predicted for this weekend and nothing better than fresh tracks in a new snow for finding bunnies to shoot.
We hunted yesterday and got 3 we had about 6 good races.
no ther is just to much snow on the ground to really do a whole lot of hunting
yep! doing ok.. not a limit when I walk the yard but at least enough for me to eat..3 or so.. still fun to walk around
no, might go turkey hunting though.
no been out for squirrels a couple times thuogh, but still got a couple days left for deer season, might go out for 1 or 2 more sits
Around here the woods are EMPTY in January, and this is why I love hunting Snowshoe Hare this time of year.I still hunt with a .22lr and a pair of snowshoes along old logging trails, taking headshots on sunning bunnies.
We've had little snow and mild weather this winter, and hunting has been good.
i've never tried bunny hunting but boy do we have a sh*tload of 'em on our ranch!!
You know i will. Not that experienced but it's a lot of fun goin squirrel huntin.
Hey squirrelgirl how far are you from middle tenn. I'd love to bring a some beagles and help with your rabbit problem. We've been wanting to go the last 2 days but it's raining like hell here I'll have to wait till next week to go again due to work while my buddies hunt this weekend
Amen to the rain! It is so wet here the swamp rabbits are on the hill tops!
