i just saw a group of 15 fawns with no mature deer in the group any body have an explanation?

In the fall fawns can be nearly as big as the doe. You likely saw a large group of does and fawns.

there might be a few people that poach but i dont think many people would have the time other than students and i know all of them and a few of them might take one here and there the way they talk but not that many

The non-breeding young'ns are feeling a little rejected this time of year. The adults are busy with other things while the kids are sitting at the kid table.

Mature does come into estrus first. Often mid October. They will abandon their young at that time.
