Shot a few, but only kept the racks. No pictures. I hope to get a traphy jackalope someday.

I've never been drunk or had a drink, for that matter, my entire life. So, no, I've never shot a jackalope.

I shot a decent sized 4 point jackalope a few years back.

They went completely nocturnal around here before I had a chance to hunt them. Have only seen some sheds and rubs. Heard that snipe hunters sometimes bag them but they have to let them go. Imagine having one of those horny devils in a burlap bag thinking you got a snipe!

I've only seen 4 pointers, so I'm waiting a one that'll make the record book.

There's a ton of them in Eastern Wyoming. Bars in upstate NY have pet populations too.

I hear that you have to buy a license now but the Game and Fish won't sell you one. I know where they breed in Natural Corral in NW Wyoming. After you have seen the babies at play it is hard to cap one of the mature bucks or does. When in their native habitat I always wear my best boots and a pair of chaps otherwise it hurts like hell when one of the bucks charges and gores you in the ankle.

Haven't got a chance at one, but I've got a real nice one that my trail cameras have been picking up on. Hopefully this next season I'll be able to lay him out with my pellet gun.

i've shot two. but they both suffered severe ground shrinkage to the point that when i got up to them, they looked like ordinary jack rabbits.

Ghost, you said it, ground shrinkage is particularly bad with this 'species.' Almost 100%

I ran over one but it knocked the horns off. I was going to take it to the game and fish for weighing but they wouldn't believe me.
