too many. My grandfather shot one and figuring it was dead, walked up to it. It wasn't, teeth clacking it charged at him. He was about 10 yards away and luckily was walking up to it with his rifle drawn so he was able to pump some lead into the little bugger and put it to sleep for good.

another time a few of my friends were out hog hunting with dogs. The dogs are trained to jump on the back of the pig because they cant turn their heads around. Javelinas are more flexible, so when one of the dogs mistook a javelina for a hog and jumped on its back the javelina was able to turn and get its tusk into the poor dog's throat. That dog didn't have a chance, it ran back to the truck and died in my buddy's arms.

I hate those little piggies and I kill em every chance I get.

spartan 88 sorry for taking so long i was about 15 yards away. It ran another 15 and dropped dead. I have the skull in my garage, no exit hole but entrance hole that was quite bigger than the pellet. The gun is a ruger airhawk elite and it can't shoot worth a crap because ruger gives it sucky scope mounts. In the next month I am buying a pcp airgun. I have my sights set on the most powerful .22 cal. airgun in the world. Over 60 FPE!!! its called the airforce condor it is made in america and yes, it is more powerful than the hunter extreme.

I had a "close-one" with a genetic cousin; Russian wild boar-male,@ 350+lbs., Grafenwoehr, Germany-Was scared S@#%l#ss! Chased me approx. 1.5K's to my tent and T.O.C.-had NO ammo,bayonet... however, charging my M-4(loading a blank via charging handle) did the trick at about 4'-the loud cracking sound in -25F stopped him as he slid on freshly fallen snow which hit me in the chest from his sudden change of mind..

I had an employee of mine (used to work as an animal removal guy in AZ) call me to tell me 'linas had him on the roof of his truck and wouldn't let him down. Ha Ha, I drove there and sure enough, ten or twelve were standing there, popping their teeth and grunting. Turns out, he was under a clients deck, busted up a den filled with babies, and really pissed them off.
A woman in Sedona was attacked two years ago while walking her dog. They killed the dog and unzipped her calf muscle from the bone. Nasty little buggers, but some fine meat if you can keep ALL hair off of it.
