what is the best way to carry parachute cord or some kind of rope on you?

I usually wrap it around my hand and tie a knot in the middle of it,and place it in the front of my back pack.

drill a hole in the lid of a mayo jar and put the cord in the jar and feed the rope thru the top of the jar it makes it compact and easy to pull out and put away

Make about a 8-12 inch loops and when you get enough wrap it around itself and pull it back through the eye on one end, then slide up the wrap.
