Simms G3 Guide Jacket
Who in their right mind would even consider trying to retail an angler's rain jacket for $400? Simms, the Bozeman, Montana¿¿¿based maker of high-end fishing clothing and waders, has a history of making things that are at least a little more expensive-and noticeably better-than anyone else's gear. So it's no surprise that they've made the world's greatest coat for fishing in nasty weather. The new G3 Guide Jacket features a waterproof main zipper; watertight, adjustable cuffs; built-in retractors for clippers or other items; large bellows pockets for fly boxes; lined hand-warmer pockets; four smaller stowage pockets with water-resistant zippers; and an adjustable hood. The material is three-layer Gore-Tex XCR, meaning it's both tougher and a little more breathable than regular Gore-Tex.
