PETA is going to love this one…

Call me crazy but am I the only one who’s never heard of this? Apparently, you can save a fish from bleeding out and dying simply by pouring a Coke down it’s throat. Crazy, I know.

My buddies, Kent Klewein and Louis Cahill, over at Gink and Gasoline swear it works and have the story and image (above) to prove it.

Louis mentioned that, “As soon as it (the Coke) hit the injured gill the bleeding stopped. It was like magic. I’m not sure if it’s the carbonation or the acid but something in the Coke cauterized the wound. It saved that fish’s life.”

Anyone else have any whacky fish tips that might do us all some good? Curious to see what else is out there I’ve never heard of…
