Aim for the Cure

When friend-of-the-blog Kirstie Pike, founder and president of the women's gear company Prois Hunting Apparel, announced yesterday that her business would be teaming up with Victory Archery's "Pink Arrow Project," I thought the effort well worth a post.
As I'm sure many of you are aware, Victory Archery began offering their VForce premium carbon composite arrows in hot pink to aid in the fight against breast cancer. As part of the company's Pink Arrow Project, proceeds from the sale of each of these Victory Pink Arrows are donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Now Prois Hunting Apparel is proudly offering the arrows on their Web site as well.
"Pairing a supreme product with a great cause can only be a win-win situation," Pike said in a statement, also pointing out that the arrows, "aren't just for the ladies," and that men can show their support by carrying a single Victory Pink Arrow in their quiver.
As I fear is the case with many of us, breast cancer has struck within my family, and I applaud any effort to fund the research that will strike back. -K.H.

My mom has breast cancer. I'll buy a box of these. They'll be easier to find than my camo arrows.
What a wonderful idea!
Best part is, bright pink doesn't look very bright or pink to deer. Someone in F&S once proposed replacing blaze orange with bright pink as the official hunter safety color, because it's actually less visible to most game animals. Not sure how that would fly, but I would hope these arrows fly well; in sales, that is.
great job, but they look a little pricey for these times
What an awesome idea and I can just picture them with my Pink Muzzy on the end.
I applaud any company that teams it's product and the proceeds from the sale of it in finding a cure for a disease like cancer.
Anything that promotes, and brings awareness to the fight against cancer, is an inspiration, and brings hope, and support to people whose lives have been touched by cancer.
I'm diggin' the Hot Pink Blazer vanes! Looks like a quality carbon arrow ...
Two thumbs-up to Kirstie Pike and the Victory Archery's "Pink Arrow Project!"
Cool idea. Looks like I'm going to have to get 3 or 4 dozen when I get the crew here started in archery. My youngest twin daughter Cassie can't wait to start shooting this spring, her twin sister Holly may or may not want to do it, as she's not quite sure about it. I did talk to my girlfriend Audrey about it, she's going to consider trying target shooting with the bow this summer.
Cool idea, I might have to get some new arrows.
the cool thing about the pink arrows is that guys don't have to worry about their buddies making fun of them for carrying a few in their quiver because by now everyone knows what they stand for. i'll take a few.
I thought we'd all be into this initiative. I'm just glad efforts like this are going on in the hunting community. BTW, way to pass it on, SportsmanMatt. -K.H.
