Instructional Archery Babe Videos

By Chad Love

As colossal wastes of time, energy and resources go, Youtube ranks right up there with Egyptian pyramids, the stone heads of Easter Island, and Twitter. But every now and then you stumble across something that is intriguing, instructive and well, kinda sexy. Like this, and this:

I must confess that I didn't find these clips myself. A while back my editor sent me a link to them and said "see if you can find out who they are and why they're shooting half-nekked." Now you know what the F&S editors do every day.
But not a bad assignment, really, although I was a little confused by the lack of sound and the emphasis on form in many of the clips. I mean, if you're gonna show off your bikini-worthy bodies then at least tart it up a bit, right?  Maybe take a cue from this girl:

So I forced myself to watch all the other Youtube clips of these two attractive archers, took a few notes on what I could glean from the clips and began Googling. I quickly discovered the clips were in fact not soft-core exhibitionism, but a video training journal. And the two comely young women? World-class tournament archers, both of them. The reason for the skimpy clothing? To show as much muscle movement as possible during the process of drawing and shooting the bow, which helps improve form, and to help with physiotherapy. And if they look damn good doing it? Well, that's just a side benefit. Why not hire these gals as booth babes?

Kidding aside, if you're a bowhunter watch the rest of the clips and you might pick up an idea or two to improve your shooting. I was so inspired that I grabbed my bow and video camera, squeezed into my Spongebob Squarepants Speedo and started filming myself in the back yard as my neighbors - hands clawing at their eyes -  ran screaming for their back door. As soon as my wife can post bond and get me out of here I'll have the clips up on Youtube for you. -- Chad Love

Don't do it Chad! Next thing you know you'll find yourself hauled before Congreff Affembled or facing an FCC fine.

I mean, after all, can't you just see it? From now on when people mention Janet Jackson they'll be adding "and don't forget that Chad Love."

The hot chick does an amazing job shooting with her feet and Erika does have good form. Let's hope Byron Ferguson doesn't jump onto the band wagon and have a topless instructional video.

I forgot all about the first one after seeing the second one. That's uh... nice.

I was about to say something ridiculous like; "I can't do that." Big Duh.

I'm a bit confused. Back during the SHOT show didn't you post a story about booth babes and how they brought nothing to the show (which is a point I still disagree with), but yet because these two half dressed young ladies (which I personally have no problem with) are "world class archers" it's okay for their "jigglies" to be hanging out?

So talented and your "jigglies" hanging is good, but just pretty with your "jigglies" hanging out is bad?

I'm still confused by your "logic" and the whole concept of you in Speedos should isn't pretty in any way, shape or form. It's gross.

jjas, yes, I did post such a blog.

Yes, it is OK for their "jigglies" to be hanging out. Re-read the post for the reason said "jigglies" are hanging.

And to clarify, I have no problem with being pretty and hanging your "jigglies" out (if you're female).
I've admired many hanging "jigglies" in my life.
I have no problem with attractive young women parlaying their genetically and surgically gifted "jigglies" into income and career advancement. Good for them.

But I still don't think the SHOT show is the right venue for overt displays of "jigglies" and I still maintain that it cheapens our image to the broader public.

And to paraphrase and modify a wonderful line from that great novelist Umberto Eco, "The poor words with which natural human speech is provided cannot suffice to describe me in a Speedo."

Gross is , well, grossly inadequate.

The folks who do the poaching and trespassing do that (cheapen our image) more so than any SHOT hottie ever could, even with their "jigglies" hanging out (the hotties I mean, not the poachers).

Yeah, I was observing the form, and the muscle structure, and the . . . what else was it I was supposed to be observing? The original Olympians competed naked for the most part, so I don't see why we can't award a few style points where appropriate. If anyone objects to this sort of thing being featured on the blog, let them try shooting with their toes!

Uhhh...first video = gratuitous jigglies hanging out and not so much showing which muscles are used to pull a bow. To do that, they'd have to shoot the video from her backside.

Second video is hot. Saw that video about a year ago. She's got another one on YouTube also.

The first one is ok but how about the girls shooting a bow with her feet! What the hell man. Many have a hard enough time just shooting a regular bow. Not to mention that bow had no sights and a humongous spongy thing at the end. Now that was impressive stuff. Not to mention she looked darn good doing it too.

Howdy--I am a professional archer and do instinctive archery exhibitions on stage. 2010 will mark my 25th year on stage. The highlight of my show is baby aspirin shot from mid air from behind my back.

I have performed at shows in California where Lilia Stepanova also performs. She's a nice young lady and does an amazing show. She has a website on myspace you can visit to learn more about her show.
