Update: New PA Commission Member Will Affect Crossbow Ruling
By Dave Hurteau
From the Post-Gazette:
Wednesday's confirmation of a new member of the Pennsylvania Board of Game Commissioners provides near certainty that broad use of crossbows will remain legal in the state this year.
Ralph A. Martone… was sworn in yesterday as the eighth member of the board, filling a vacancy… .
In an interview yesterday, Martone said he supports broad inclusion of the crossbow during Pennsylvania hunting seasons.

WOW! Commissioner Ralph A. Martone, I like him already!!!!!
Key word: "in⋅clu⋅sion" of the crossbow
Like I said, I support the use of the XB just as much as any other equipment used by anyone else.
Like I said, I support the use of the XB, I just prefer my HCA 4 Runner the most and as when Matthew Quigley in the movie Quigley Down Under played by Tom Sellick said it best when he shot Elliott Marston played by Alan Rickman with a handgun, “I just don’t have the use for one!!”
Hopefully this will be the end of the back and forth and PA hunters who wish to hunt with xbows can do just that.
Jim
Perhaps Commissioner Martone can put the end on the ridiculous firearm restrictions for firearm deer season and allowing the use of Semi, lever, pump bolt, single and muzzle loader.
Hopefully he will settle the back and forth-ness of the PA crossbow debate... just allow them and not put so much detail and small print for people to be able to use them.
Martone is an antideer a-hole. He said he supports the failed deer plan and the continued unwarranted slaughter.
The 2 biggest idiots to ever sit on the pgc board initiated this. Pallone and Shleiden. Both gone now by the grace of god!! Before they left they put the wheels in motion and added one more way to slaughter more deer and make more money for the fraud commission.
Pgc can go straight to hell imho.
Clay you are a goofball and clearly need to learn to hunt and quit begging for "hunter welfare" and things to make up for your obvious lack of skill. Also given the pathetic quality and quantity of the deer herd here, thanks to pgc being run by environmental extremists we need more harvest like we all need another butthole.
Why not just buy a 100 yard plot, high fence it, then hunt it using a damn F-16? Jackass.
