Discussion Topic: Canada Fisheries Minister Gets Pied Over Seals

This is awful. Undignafied. Wrong, wrong, wrong! But you have to admit, it is kind of funny.

From the Calgary Herald:

An American animal-rights activist, unhappy with Canada’s seal hunt, was arrested Monday after striking Fisheries Minister Gail Shea in the face with a pie moments after she began speaking at an event in Burlington, Ont.

Shea was not injured in the incident, and said she was shocked when she was hit by the cream pie. But Shea said she remains steadfast in her approval of the controversial seal hunt.

“This just strengthens my resolve. . . ,” Shea said.

So . . . should supporters looking to strengthen her resolve even further give her a pie in face, too? Hmm. This could get messy. By the way, if you’d prefer to see the pie incident in video form, click here.
