I dont need anymore studys to know the effect coyotes have on the fawns here. I have seen them hopping in the tall grass by my house, and then run off with a fawn by the head. I have found 4 chewed up fawns in the last 3 weeks, and most of the does only have single fawns now, since instinct has them seperate the fawns during the first 2 weeks when they keep them hidden.Only in PA could guys not even be able to kill deer correctly over a corn pile.
FYI
Most of the links on this thread do not work. :)
A lot of interesting news!
Every coyote I see is a dead coyote. I open their gut just to see what they have eaten and I'm never surprised by the contents and volume of food.
FYI
All of the links opened and worked.
I am assuming the guy that shot the deer with both parts was busted for poaching, where is the common sense of the F&G. Sorry if Iam incorect the link would not come up just taking a guess.
Hurt...more info than you can shake a stick at! Thank you sir, I appreciate you investigative instincts.
** "your" not you. sorry...
I like the story of the woman firing a warning shot to scare away a deer. Since the new law, it was the first use of a gun for self defense in Glacier. I would of thought it would of been a grizzly.......ahhh city slickers!
yeah the woman firing a warning shot at the deer. Crazeee.i do that some times during deer season just to give the deer a chance. An the poachers get what they deserve.they steal from the rest of us who waite all year long for the season to open.
Well, Hurt. At least the Ohio man wasn't fined for killing a doe/buck (boe? duck?) during a single sex only season.
